Alois Bear celebrates Alois Senefelder, a Prague born (b. 1771, d. 1834), German actor and playwright who invented lithography in 1796.   Driven by his needs to get his play printed more economically, Senefelder experimented with flat fine-grained limestone and the immiscibility of water and ink, and discovered lithography - a technique that was the genesis of today's offset printing.  Size:  11".
